CC3 Challenge #5

Howdy all !!    I've been bad about blogging lately, but I honestly haven't had much play time .. this thing called WORK gets in the way of my fun  .. LOL   The challenge this week for Compendium of Curiosities Challenge is ... #39 - Distress Watercoloring Part 1

I had three sets that work really good on the watercolor technique .. I picked Vintage Things Blueprint.  I used the typewriter.   I tried the butterfly from Easter Blueprint set, but I just couldn't get my colors right .. so on to the typewriter.  :)

I stamped it with Archival ink on Tim's watercolor paper (love this stuff).   I used distress markers in wild honey and pumice stone to color the typewriter.   I layered this on kraft paper after I distressed the edges with Frayed burlap distress ink.   I stamped a phrase from "Stuff to Say" and stamped that with archival ink, distressed the edge and put it coming out of the top of the typewriter.
Here it is .. just a simple card .. but cute none the less I think :)   If you'd like to join in visit and you'll see all the details.   Prize packs are offered by Tim Holtz and Mario.  As well as a gift certificate from Inspiration Emporium, which has tons of cool stuff.    Well I hope everyone has a Happy Friday and a fantastic Fourth of July !!!
Thanks for stopping in for a look .. Happy Crafting !!

  1. Hi Cim! Yes, I am a Missouri girl, too! Go us! :) Your use of Tim's typewriter blueprint stamp on your card is so cute! Very clever to add the sentiment coming out of the top of it. Nice job of watercoloring the typewriter, too! Thanks so much for joining our challenge at CC3C with your nice artwork! <3 Candy
