CC3C challenge #3

Happy Friday !!!   Woo hoo we've made it to another weekend.  I get to go to a Cardinals game tomorrow and see our new Ballpark Village .. I can't wait !    My hubby isn't a baseball fan, but he always takes me to one game a year and tomorrow is that game .. Cardinals v Giants .  GO CARDS !!

Challenge #3 is #65 Faux Tea Roses.   Now as much as I try I just can't get my roses even close to as beautiful as the curiosity crew, there's are all so perfect and beautiful.    I went in so many directions that I didn't even take pictures till I was finished.   So here is the finished project.

This is full of so much Tim Holtz goodness.  I had some trellis cut from the mirrored paper and I cut it and tucked it under the tag.   I colored my ribbon with weathered wood distress stain.   The stars are done with modeling paste and silver Adirondack paint.  I also splatted (technical term .lol) on the back which was a $2 chalkboard from Michaels.   I think it turned out pretty cute.

Make sure you check out the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge on lindaledbetter.com.   Tim and Mario are offering AWESOME prize packs as well as Inspiration Emporium.   Hope you all have a great weekend !

Thanks for stopping in for a look ... Happy Crafting  :)

  1. Cim...LOVE your tag! The black on the sepia-ish background looks amazing! That is one of my favorite sentiments and the wings on either side of your beautiful tea rose looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing your art with us at CC3C. <3 Candy

  3. I think the beauty of the faux roses is that you can't go wrong. Yours look great, and add a soft look to the dark background.
