Tim Holtz 12 Tags - June

Ok, I'm shocked and truly surprised that is it only the fourth day of the month and I already have my Tim Holtz tag done  ( patting myself on the back).   This one was so much fun.  It uses a technique I love to use where you ink the stencil directly and then spritz with water and flip onto watercolor paper or even a tag .. it gives it the coolest watercolor effect.  I also put some mirrored stars on it .. I love the mirrored paper and stacked stars sizzix die of Tim's.   And I'm also proud to say that there is no Mustard Seed on this tag .. woo hoo .. hiding it worked .. LOL

This tag went in about 12 different directions before I really got to a place where I felt the mojo kick in and happen  :)     So there really aren't many in the process pictures.    So this tag had ribbon on it .. and another cool technique for making a really cool fluffy ribbon.   So Tim put the ink directly on the craft mat and spritzed and ran the ribbon through it .. remember when you see the pic, it's supposed to be somewhat bright ...................

Can you say .. YUCK !!!    Ok, I used Seedless Perserves, Peacock feathers,Salty Ocean, Squuezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade .. no really dark yucky colors, but it just swiped into a big old hairy mess ..  so I'm not one to quit .. so measure out another yard ..  same thing.   I even put my colors exactly like Tim had them on his mat thinking this would magically make mine pretty like his .. that's a big NO !!  :)     So I tried with one more yard .. better, but still not the best.   At this point I just gave in and put it on my tag.   Here is the finished product...  imagine the ribbon is full of bright colors and not just yuck .. lol

I'm really liking the way it turned out .. the colors are amazing !!    Yay me for getting done so early.. lol.    Well I hope everyone has a great rest of the week.
