CC3 Challenge Project #7

Howdy all and happy happy Friday !!   Seems like forever since I've been able to get in my room and create something.   This post is about my Compendium Challenge Project.    This weeks challenge is #46 - Painted Industrial.   A really cool technique that uses Rangers foil tape sheets .. cool stuff !!!

I decided to do a canvas and I picked three different texture fades to change up the different pieces.  Here are the texture fades I used

I used Subway, gears and Damask.   I laid my foil tape sheet on a piece of grunge paper and ran it through my Vagabond with the three different texture fades.   Then I used Stacked Stars, Rickety House, on the fence and branch tree sizzix dies to cut my shapes out. Here's where is started

I'm really not sure why but it took a Halloween turn .. I must be ready for my Brach's Mellowcreme pumpkins to hit the shelves :)   So I added mustard seed, dried marigold, black soot and walnut stain to dull down the book paper I put down.  I also used a stamp from Tim's set spooky stuff.

SO I thought this would be it, but I kept looking at it and decided it needed more

I didn't have a die for little bats, so I had to do them free handed (hey I tried)  lol.   I used mustard seed distress glitter behind the windows to add a little something to the house.  I had so much fun with this technique !!

Remember if you want to join in go to lindaledbetter.com and check out the details.   Tim and Mario are giving away an awesome prize bag to the winner .. who wouldn't want that !!    You also have a shot to win a $50 gift card from Inspiration Emporium.

Thanks for stopping in for a look and HAPPY CRAFTING !!!!!

As for the mellow cream pumpkins I love and I hate that they come in their own bag without the candy corn!!!

  4. Cim...this is amazing! I am such a fan of Halloween and this is darling! Your use of the painted industrial technique on the house, fence, tree and stars is so clever. Love your design and your background, too! The orange-ish colors really pop the metal pieces. Thanks for sharing your art with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
