The technique for this challenge is # 63 "stamps and framelits". I didn't own any of them so that meant a trip to Hobby Lobby with my 40% coupon. I bought the Birthday Blueprint set .. I figured that one I would use alot.
So here are my supplies: Raw canvas tag, Latticework layering stencil, dry clear rock candy glitter, distress inks: vintage photo and shabby shutters, distress stains: shabby shutters, mustard seed, spun sugar and antique linen.
I misted the canvas with water then used the stains to create the background. I used shabby shutter distress ink with the layering stencil to add some color. Then I started layering my elements and got this ...
I used the spritzer thingy of Tim's which I can't remember the proper name of and splat some vintage photo ink on the background which I pop dotted up. I used distress stain and colored in the cupcake piece I had cut out using the framelit die. Then when I was putting glitter in the tube on the side I figured . .. let's glitter the whole dang thing :) So I glittered my cupcake and pop dotted that up to give it some height. It's really hard to see in the photos .. but I promise it's glittered up with the clear rock candy glitter.
I love the fact that it is on canvas .. I've had these tags I purchased from hobby lobby off their clearance rack and was just waiting for something to use them for. So remember if you want to play along or just see the curiousity crew's over the top amazing projects go to lindaledbetter.com.
