Compendium of curiosities 3 - Challenge 13

Howdy all !!  The challenge for this round of CC3 is #35 - Worn Cover.  I've had one forever, but just never got it out ..  so once again this wonderful challenge has me using something I've had forever but just wasn't sure what I was going to do with it.   This forces me to get things out and just figure it out instead of looking at it and then putting it back with no ideas  :)

So I used some Tim Holtz paper for my background.   I added some walnut stain distress ink to the edges and then started layering emphemra, ribbon, remnant rubs and a flower I cut from his tattered floral garland sizzix die.

I used some of Tim's ribbon to secure the binder attachment inside .. I like that look much better than a brad  :)

I didn't get too crazy with decorating the inside yet because I'm still not sure what my plan is for filling the binder with.   I probably will fill it with tags I do on Tim's blog each month, but still thinking about that.   So I'm sure once I decide I'll add some more to the cover and inside ..  I love the floral paper though, I wish I could remember the name of the mat stack that was from .. but it escapes me :)

lindaledbetter.com (link on right side)  has all the details on the challenge and all the awesome projects by the curiousity crew .. they ROCK !!   Tim and Mario also have a super prize pack that goes to the winner.  This week Inspiration Emporium is also giving a $50 gift card to a random winner.   You can get to their store by the link on the right side of my blog.

Have a great rest of the week .. it's almost Friday !!

Thanks for stopping in for a look .. Happy Crafting !

  1. Cim...this is such a sweet worn cover book. I love your choice of Tim papers. The butterfly, flower and ribbon you've added to the front are nice touches. I love dimensional pieces. That add so much. Your interior is also very pretty. I think your idea of storing Tim's tags that you do in this book is a great one! Thanks for joining us at CC3C. <3 Candy
