Compendium Challenge #20

Howdy all and Happy Monday !!    Things at my house are starting to settle down and both my hubs and my Pug are home and doing great .. YAY !!    So the challenge this time around for CC3 is "Distress Watercoloring - Part 2".    Lately I've been so in love with the watercolor look ..  I really like the softness of the colors, and you can use it on any project.

I tried a couple different things before I decided to just go with a card .. I have a friend's birthday coming up so again I decided to kill two birds with one stone like last challenge  :)   I totally forgot to take "during" pics .. I was so focused on trying to figure out what I was going to do .. that I didn't even think to take any .. lol   The shadowing effect needs some work, but it wasn't bad for the first attempt at this technique.

I used one of Tim's blueprint sets "Easter Blueprints" and grabbed the butterfly .. I figured this would allow me to use more colors.   Looking back now I wish I would of added some distress glitter over the butterfly, but I can still do that it's not in the mail yet  :)    My distress marker colors are, picked raspberry, peacock feathers, vintage photo and seedless preserves.   I added some mirror stars, a trinket pin and used some ribbon colored with the picked raspberry and peacock feather.  Here is the finished card and some close up picks of the butterfly.

Be sure to check out Lindaledbetter.com for more details and to check out the Curiousity Crews awesome projects !    Tim Holtz and Mario Rossi have a super cool prize pack for the Curiousity Crews pick.   and Funkie Junkie Boutique is giving away a $25 gift card to a random draw.  You can find links to all on the right side of my blog.  I hope everyone has a great week !

Thanks for stopping in for a look .. Happy Crafting !!!!
