Simon Says Monday Challenge

Happy Tuesday !    We're looking at more snow here .. this has been one crazy winter.   We normally get  winter in the Mid West, but it's more of a winter than what we're used to.   I for one love winter .. I know I'm not in a big club with that  :)

This weeks challenge theme for Simon Says Monday Challenge is .. Love Notes !  Perfect with Valentine's day right around the corner.   I went with a different approach, but I think it still fits with the theme.  Here it is ....

At first I was thinking of making a card or a journal page .. but then I thought what says love more than HOME ... to me it means family, good times and memories with the people I love.   And hey it has a heart  :)   

I layered tissue paper with mod podge and then painted it.  I used some book pages to make the house.  Used pattern paper to create the sun and roof.   I stamped with a word stamp and a chicken wire stamp to dull the sun down.  I made this in a class at For Keeps Sake with Missy.   I love any kind of mixed media home décor.   The frame is made from yard sticks covered with Tim Holtz tissue tape.   Here's a closer look so you can see a little more detail.
